Neve Cosmetics - Red Amplify Face Brush
Ho ordinato questo pennello dal sito di Neve Cosmetics due estati fa, e poi - incredibile ma vero - l'ho dimenticato nella sua bustina dove è rimasto per ben un anno e mezzo. Verso metà gennaio, in preda ad un delirio di onnipotenza da febbre, mi sono decisa a mettere ordine nell'armadio e puf, l'ho trovato lì che mi fissava. Inutile aggiungere che era giunta l'ora di dargli una chance.
Sul sito di Neve viene descritto come ideale per amplificare la resa e la sfumabilità di blush, illuminanti, terre, oppure per ottenere un risultato particolarmente coprente nell'applicazione del fondotinta liquido. A mio avviso, le setole fitte e compatte lo rendono un prodotto valido per applicare e sfumare blush in polvere e in crema, per realizzare il contouring e per applicare la cipria in zone specifiche del viso (ad esempio per fissare il correttore nella zona perioculare o sulle imperfezioni del viso). Lo trovo però troppo grande per applicare l'illuminante, prodotto per il quale preferisco utilizzare un pennello da sfumatura per ombretto. Proverò invece ad utilizzarlo per stendere il fondotinta liquido e vi farò sapere.
I bought this brush from Neve Cosmetics two summers ago, and then - believe it or not - I forgot it in his bag, where I left it for more than a year and a half. About a month ago, while I was tidying my closet, I found it there staring at me. Needless to say, it was time to give it a chance.
Neve Cosmetics describes it as ideal to apply and blend blushes, illuminators and bronzers and to obtain great coverage when applying liquid foundation. In my opinion, the dense and compact bristles make it a good product to apply and blend powder and cream blushes, contour products and setting powders in specific areas of the face (e.g. after applying concealer to cover blemishes). However, I think it is too big to apply illuminators, and for this kind of product I prefer using an eyeshadow blending brush. Anyway, I will try to use it to apply liquid foundation and let you know.

Sometimes miracles happen: se fino a poco tempo fa sarebbe stato impensabile per me uscire di casa senza eyeliner nero, oggi mi trovo sempre più spesso a sostituire questo prodotto con delle matite eyeliner. Questa di Neve Cosmetics, in particolare, mi piace tantissimo per il suo colore, marrone scuro con una satinatura color bronzo, ed è perfetta per dare definizione all'occhio ma anche come base cremosa per ombretti in polvere da applicare sulla palpebra mobile. Essendo una matita molto morbida si stende con facilità; tuttavia questo ne pregiudica la durata che, pur applicando un buon primer, è abbastanza scarsa. Diciamo che rappresenta una buona alternativa ad un eyeliner per un look più informale e per quelle situazioni in cui non si ha bisogno di una soluzione a lunga tenuta.

This from Neve Cosmetics is one of my favourites: I love it for its dark brown color with a bronze satin finish, and I think it's perfect to give definition to the eyes but also as a creamy base for powder eyeshadows to be applied on the eyelid. Being a very soft pencil, it is easy to apply but definitely not long-lasting, even when using a good eye primer. I consider it a valid alternative to an eyeliner for a more casual look and for those situations in which you do not need a long-lasting solution.

Nature's - Argà Argan Olio Puro di Argan CC Cream in Medium-Light
Sono sempre stata scettica nei confronti delle BB cream, a cui preferivo fondi liquidi o minerali oppure creme colorate fai-da-te ottenute mescolando crema da giorno e pigmenti. Le ritenevo prodotti inutili, almeno fino a quando ho cominciato a lavorare dall'altra parte della città e ad apprezzare ogni minuto risparmiato la mattina. Questa CC Cream con olio di argan e acido ialuronico mi ha convinta innanzitutto per il suo INCI naturale (nessuna pigrizia mi avrebbe convinta a spalmarmi in faccia chili di siliconi), ma anche per la consistenza leggera. Ho una pelle molto secca su tutto il viso (fatta eccezione per il naso), e il problema si accentua con l'arrivo del freddo. Nonostante ciò, la crema mantiene il mio viso idratato senza darmi la sensazione di "pesantezza" di un normale fondotinta. Naturalmente la coprenza è bassa e non può essere paragonata a quella di un fondo classico, ma se non avete particolari problemi di pelle vi basterà utilizzare un correttore per occhiaie ed imperfezioni e sarete a posto. Io, quando desidero ottenere una coprenza maggiore, aggiungo un velo di fondo minerale Neve Cosmetics, utile anche a fissare il tutto, e sono molto soddisfatta del risultato. Inoltre ha anche SPF 15. L'unica pecca? Questa CC cream è disponibile solo in due colorazioni, una medio-chiara e una più scura, ma considerato che si tratta di un prodotto dalla coprenza leggera trovo sia un problema trascurabile.
I have always been skeptical about BB creams and preferred liquid and mineral foundations or do-it-yourself coloured creams made by mixing pigments with day cream. I used to consider it as a useless products, but when I started working for a company located in the other side of town I began to appreciate every minute saved in the morning. This CC Cream with argan oil and hyaluronic acid convinced me above all for its good INCI, but also for its light texture. I have a very dry skin (except for the nose area) that becomes even drier in winter. Although this cream keeps my face moisturized, it doesn't give me that "heavy" feeling that is typical of classic foundations. Obviously the coverage is low and cannot be compared to that of a classic foundation, but if you don't have any particular skin problems you can just use a concealer for dark circles and blemishes and you'll look fine. When I want to get a greater coverage, I just apply some Neve Cosmetics mineral foundation on top, which is also useful to set the BB cream and the concealer, and I'm very satisfied with the result. Besides, this CC cream has got SPF 15. The only flaw? It is only available in two different colours - medium-light and medium-dark, but considering that it is a low-coverage product I believe it's not a big problem.

Dior - Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette
Una delle fragranze più particolari che abbia mai provato. Nonostante la nota dolce di vaniglia non ha nulla di stucchevole, anzi: è una profumazione intensa e aromatica, direi orientale ed "inebriante". Eccezionale, forse il profumo che mi piace di più in assoluto insieme a Signorina di Ferragamo. 10 e lode al mio ragazzo per avermelo regalato per Natale.

Dior - Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara
Il mio mascara preferito degli ultimi mesi insieme al Lancome Hypnose Star, di cui ahimé avevo solo un campioncino. Lo scovolino è realizzato per incurvare le ciglia e permette di raggiungerle agevolmente anche negli angoli. L'aspetto di questo mascara che preferisco è il suo potere allungante: riesco ad ottenere ciglia lunghissime e perfettamente separate senza quell'effetto "bambola" che può risultare eccessivo e un po' finto. Inoltre dura tutto il giorno senza sciogliersi e si strucca con facilità. Per la serie: cosa vuoi di più dalla vita?

What I love about this mascara is its lengthening power: I can get long and perfectly separated lashes without that doll effect that can look excessive and a little fake. Moreover, it lasts all day without melting and it is easy to remove at the end of the day. What more do you want?

Altro prodotto riscoperto dopo un lungo periodo di inutilizzo. L'avevo acquistato lo scorso inverno, quando le mie labbra erano in una situazione di secchezza così disperata da costringermi ad abbandonare il mio amato burrocacao all'olio di argan di Bottega Verde per correre in farmacia alla ricerca di un rimedio più efficace; tuttavia ero rimasta abbastanza delusa nello scoprire l'inci di questo prodotto, che avevo finito per accantonare. Fortunatamente, però, mi è venuto in mente di concedergli una seconda possibilità. Ebbene questo balsamo labbra conterrà pure un concentrato di schifezze, ma - per qualche motivo chimico-fisico a me ignoto - protegge egregiamente le mie labbra dalle spaccature. In più, grazie alla sua consistenza fluida, si applica facilmente e lascia sulle labbra una sensazione confortevole e un finish lucido da gloss. Che dire... Chapeau.

I bought it last winter when my lips were in a state of such an extreme dryness that I was forced to stop using my argan-oil lip balm from Bottega Verde and run to the pharmacy in search of a more effective remedy. However, I was very disappointed when I read the INCI of this product and for this reason I didn't use it. Fortunately, this year I've decided to give it a second chance. Well, even though this lip balm doesn't have a good INCI it does protect my lips from cracking. Moreover, thanks to its fluid consistency, it is easy to apply and leaves a comfortable feeling on the lips with a glossy finish. Chapeau.

Phytorelax Laboratories - Coconut Latte Corpo con Puro Olio di Cocco
Last but not least, un prodotto di un marchio che mi piace molto. Questo latte corpo ha un delizioso profumo di cocco e un buon INCI, e si stende e si assorbe facilmente. Probabilmente è più adatto alla stagione estiva per la consistenza leggera, ma è sufficientemente idratante anche per l'inverno, quando solitamente la pelle è più secca.
Last but not least, a product from a brand I really like. This body milk has a delicious coconut scent and a good INCI, it is easy to spread and is absorbed quickly by the skin. Due to its light consistency, it is probably more suitable for summer, but it's also good for winter when skin is usually drier.
